Abstract
 
 Women empowerment is a critical issue in today's world, as it aims to increase women's economic, social, and political power. This literature review provides an overview of the concept empowerment, its historical evolution, importance achieving sustainable development goals. The highlights various factors that hinder identifies successful strategies for empowering women, such education, access resources, participation. Finally, concludes with recommendations policymakers, civil society organizations, researchers advance cause women empowerment.
